Niveau performances Britney Spears est venue faire le show en très petite tenue avec un medley, tandis que Celine Dion a chanté le titre "Show Must Go On" puis s'est vu remettre un trophée d'honneur remis par son fils René Charles. Madonna accompagnée de Stevie Wonder a rendu hommage à Prince. P!nk est venue interpréter son nouveau single "Just Like fire" tout comme les Fifth Harmony, Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, DNCE ou encore Rihanna .

Côté palmarès, à l'image des nonimations, Adele, Justin Bieber et The Weeknd ont été les larges vainqueurs. À noter aussi un prix pour notre Dj français David Guetta.
